Rising Stars Basketball League
The Rising Stars Basketball League is the perfect first basketball league for 2nd–4th grade boys and girls in Livermore who want to learn the game, build confidence, and have fun. We are excited to launch the Preview Season, giving young athletes a structured, development-focused program that combines skills training with organized games.
Each session is led by experienced coaches, focusing on dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, teamwork, and basic game concepts. Players then apply what they learn in fun, organized league games, ensuring every child gets a chance to play, improve, and enjoy the sport.
Unlike typical recreational leagues, Rising Stars emphasizes player development, confidence, and learning basketball the right way. Players will be placed on teams, receive a reversible league jersey, and participate in a program that balances instruction with gameplay.

What Each League Night Looks Like
30 minutes - Skills Training
60 minutes - Organized League Games (including coaches for every team, ref, and scoreboard)
Each session begins with a 30-minute skills training led by our coaches, focusing on core fundamentals such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and defensive concepts. Players will then participate in organized games, giving them the opportunity to apply what they learn in a fun, game-like setting.
The goal is to help players develop confidence, improve their skills, and learn how to play team basketball.
Jerseys
All players will receive a Rising Stars reversible jersey that will be used for league games.
